ABOUT THE RITE

A Legacy of Light and Philosophical Inquiry

Established with the first Australian Supreme Council in 1845, the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite serves as a beacon for those seeking a deeper understanding of the Masonic mysteries beyond the Craft degrees.

Our journey through history spans nearly two centuries of Australian heritage, evolving from early colonial gatherings to the formal unification of jurisdictions in 1985. We stand today as a sovereign body dedicated to the moral and intellectual elevation of our members.
